If you are buying a house, pay attention to the direction of your driveway. If it’s facing North I see a lot of snow shoveling in your future.
If your driveway is facing South, relax and have a beer in your cozy living room (facing South of course) - you made the right choice.

    I face south, I still have to shovel.

    But I get the sunshine in my windows.

    Our house faces directly North. The best part is our front stoop never sees any direct sun, so you can ice skate down the stairs from all the water that melts from the roof and re-freezes.

    I would personally like to thank whoever designed garages attached to houses.
