Orange Upside-Down Cake

January 14th, 2008 · 10 Comments

There is an old Russian saying: when he got nothing else to do, the dog licks his balls. That’s why I baked this cake.

I forgot to mention that the recipe came from David Lebovitz.I made some of his recipes before. I didn’t have cardamom, but I followed the rest of the recipe. Cake tastes pretty good but make sure you peel of as much of the white pith as you can, it adds bitterness.

You’re talking about licking dog balls and you’re worried about my post?

hows it compare to pineapple upside down? Looks tasty.

2 guys walk past a dog while it is licking its balls.
First guy says ” I wish I could do that”
second guy says” Dont try it , he bites”

That would be like comparing (pine)apples and oranges!

I have been known to throw pastry in the trash while sceaming obscenities. I hate to bake cakes, cookies, all kinds of pastries.

Consequently, I bake alone. This looks good. Not sure where it will end up tho.
