Food-related

After trying 4 of the Original SoupMan Soups I am not impressed. They are quality soups with plenty of ingredients by they were not exciting magical soup recipes as stated on the box, certainly not worth six dollars for a bowl of soup and not worth standing in line for. I tried Clam Chowder (OK), Cheddar Broccoli (OK), Italian Wedding Soup (too salty) and Chicken and Vegetable Soup (OK). The one I bought at Costco wasn’t bad. If you find them cheap give them a try, otherwise try a local place such as The Souperman. Their soups are just as good and more creative and they have other tasty lunch items such as “sandittos”.
Another food related item: if you wanted to try to bake a bread from this post and don’t have a enamel-coated cast iron pot, instead of spending hundreds of dollars on Le Creuset consider buying a cheap one at Aldi this week.

I find most canned soups are too salty for my taste. So, I usually don’t buy premade soup. I’d just soon make it myself.

I’m on the Aldi love-wagon. Their frozen hot wings kick ass.
