Poll of the Week:What Kind of Customer are You

Recently a wave of bad customer service washed over the Kansas City Metro area. Reading how my fellow customers were abused by disgruntled service employees gave me an idea for this week’s poll. I, of course being a Big Pussy that I am, vote with my wallet and avoid the scene and never complain to the manager. On the other hand, I try to reward good service by tipping and/or praise. I have been known to write letters of praise to the highest corporate levels when I feel someone has done a good job.

The poll is open, let’s get started.

  • I’m a combo kind of girl. Sometimes I wont say anything and sometimes I will cause a scene. Depends on how bad they piss me off I suppose. When they get the I’m better than you and I work for 7 bucks an hour attitude, then I tend to blow.

For good food, I’ll let them piss all over me and won’t complain. Not literally of course. Well, it’s never come up.

  • Sometimes people have bad days. i’ll give a place a second chance, but if somebody else has a bad day on that second chance, I won’t return. If it is terrible service, I won’t leave a very big tip, but I rarely complain to management, unless it is REALLY bad.

  • I’ve never found making a scene to really help. Maybe complaining to a supervisor will help some other random customer down the road, but really that’s the business’s problem not mine. I don’t tip unless I got good service, and I don’t frequent establishments that don’t treat me well when I’m behaving myself.

  • I complained about the manager at Manny’s (because she yelled at me when I questioned something) by writing a letter to the owner, and even though I like their chips and salsa, I will never go back.
