This rock-opera is probably my most favorite, but Ted Neely who participated in the original production in 1971 and is starring in the upcoming show doesn’t look or sound 33. He reminds me of a guy who stands with a cardboard sign under the Bartle Hall. Unlike many other rock songs which I still don’t understand, the lyrics in this opera are so clear that I credit it with helping me learn English. If you ever thought that I sound like JC that’s why.
Did anyone invent a combination of a urinal cake and a carnival water pistol race attraction, because if they didn’t they should. Bring some competition to otherwise sad, smelly and boring urinals. Not only it’s entertaining, it’s healthy too: watch people happily consume their recommended 8 glasses of water and more. Sorry ladies, this requires extreme coordination and precision, so only men’s facilities will be so equipped. D, you are an engineer, take this idea and run with it. Maybe the next movie about a crazy inventor will be feature your life story, and you will be played by Jack Black.
Lately I’ve been trying some salsa from a local company Original Juan and I like it so far. I drove by their location on SW Boulevard many times and and their distinctive labels with the slogan “Pain is Good” are hard to miss. Currently I am working on “Batch #218 Smoked Jalapeno Salsa“ and it’s pretty good. It’s not a restaurant-style fresh-tasting salsa, but the taste is unusual and inventive and with the heat level described as “snappy” you will definitely feel it. If you are not big on hot and spicy I would be careful buying anything above “snappy” , they have a detailed explanation on their website. The prices, however, seem to be a little cheaper at the grocery store but the variety is usually very limited. I previously tried “Batch #114 Jamaican Pineapple Salsa” which actually had some pineapple in it. Recommended.

My brother is a fan of Original Juan’s, having tried several. Unfortunately he can never remember which specific ones he has had. Lucky for him he hasn’t come across one he didn’t like yet.
And thanks Meesha for supporting local business!!!
