In modern times Moscow’s Red Square is often used for concerts and other events. Today an outdoor hockey game was played right in the middle of the Red Square in front of 2,500 fans who braved the temperatures of about 3F. Almost 30 years ago around the same time of the year my Father took me on my first trip to Moscow; we had to cut our Kremlin tour short because we were freezing so badly that all we could think of was our hotel room. One must really love hockey to sit through a game on a frigid day like this.
