Continuing with the Jewish theme on Fridays I am presenting a clip from the movie Dummy where Mila Jovovich is performing a Yiddish song Mezinke at the wedding. Previously in the movie Jovovich’s character is hired to perform Klezmer music at the wedding and despite not having a clue what that is replies “we specialize in this Klezmer shit”.
The movie was surprisingly good with great casting and lots of humor; not your regular run of the mill comedy but intelligently funny. Recommended.
I’ve only done one Jewish wedding…. an Orthodox affair at the Eldridge Hotel in Lawrence. Fascinating though I loved it.
