I took both Wood Shop and Plastics in junior high. I remember that many of my classmates at Park Hill crafted teacher-approved pipes as the class projects. Would that have been allowed in the U.S.S.R.?

Disappearing leaders were common in the 30's.During my time only people who died were taken off, but never Marx, Engels and Lenin.

Wood shop and I didn't get along AT ALL. I still have bleeding wounds from that class. I remember trying to make a wooden bowl on the lathe.... unfortunately, due to production errors, it ended up looking like a giant brown Lifesaver. P.S. Do you ever recall a time when a "leaders' " picture would suddenly disappear from the school room wall?
